Hi Jennifer,

Would we be able to access all companies? Would we have an opportunity to test it?

Thanks,

EBIX.COM LAUNCHES THE INSURANCE INDUSTRY’S
FIRST UNIFIED DIRECT BILL INQUIRY SYSTEM

· Offered as part of ebixexchange service
· Service available to agents over the Internet from anywhere, anytime, anyplace
· ebixASP users will be able to access billing inquiry from within their agency system

Atlanta, GA — March 12, 2003 — ebix.com Inc. (NASDAQ: EBIX), the world’s most comprehensive insurance portal, today announced the launch of a new unified direct bill inquiry system that enables agents to get instant bill status in a few seconds over the Internet on an anytime, anyplace, anywhere basis. The system, unveiled last week at ebix.com’s ARIAS user group conference, greatly simplifies the direct bill status process by giving agents a single interface that provides access to multiple insurance carriers with a single master password and login.
The service, part of ebix.com’s ebixexchange service offering, utilizes open architecture ebixexchange technology. It will be available to agents at an initial promotional monthly cost of $5 per carrier per agency, with a minimum fee of $25 per agency per month. Carriers will not be charged for this service.
This new unified direct bill inquiry system eliminates the time consuming steps agents must take to check on customer billing inquiries. Rather than navigating different carrier portals – and using various passwords and logins – agents now only need to log on to one very simple screen and input the customer’s policy number to determine billing status through the carrier.
The growing base of ebixASP users will be able to access customer billing inquiries in real time from within their system itself -- anytime, anyplace, anywhere -- with complete password and login integration.. ebix.com’s legacy customers will also be able to take advantage of the unified direct billing system as well.
“This new system developed by ebix.com makes multiple inquiries and calls to multiple carriers a thing of the past for insurance agents,” said Robin Raina, Chairman, President & CEO of ebix.com, Inc. “With our new direct billing system, agents will be able to quickly and easily access information in just seconds, eliminating the time and effort it takes to access this information by logging into multiple insurance carrier sites for different policies.”

Comments from the industry:
“This new service has a very significant, very positive impact on our business,” said Jerry Kroggel, CEO of Greater Lexington Insurance in Lexington, KY. “This addresses a major problem for our agency – today we have to deal with multiple CSR’s accessing multiple sites for different carriers, each with its own ID, password, and unique navigation. ebix’s new single-entry screen is an elegant solution, handling all of this work in the background, for multiple carriers.”
“The new ebix real-time inquiry greatly enhances the agency workflow and provides us with a quick single strike solution to a task that was unusually cumbersome for all agents,” said Dave Schuppler, a mid-west agent known for his activity in the technology area. Schuppler is CEO of David Schuppler & Associates, a Wisconsin agency with offices in Milwaukee and Rhinelander, and has long served on the Wisconsin Independent Agents’ automation committee.
