We are pleased to announce that Phase 1 of the Special Project had been completed which includes the new PowerFlex 5.0 upgrade and includes updates to the ebixOne Word Merge program. Due to the size of this upgrade we have created a 9.06 CD which was sent to your office last week. As part of the our ongoing commitment to our customers we are constantly testing and improving our products. Since the 9.06 release, we have made other programming changes and patch 9.05.01 is NOW ready. It is also very large in size and is being sent out to you this week also via CD. Please remember you must be on Pervasive 2000 to do this installation...
If you use Microsoft Office 2000, you must have applied Service Pack 1 (SP1). You can upgrade to Office 2000 SP1 by visiting the Microsoft web site http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q245025. We recommend upgrading to Office 2000 SP1 prior to upgrading to ebix.one 9.06 however, it is not required for a successful upgrade. Microsoft Office 97 is still supported and will continue to be supported for the immediate future. Future enhancements and fixes will only be developed on Office 2000 and Office XP. The upgrade takes between 15 and 45 minutes depending on the speed and configuration of your administrative workstation and server. If you need to upgrade Microsoft Office 2000 to Service Pack 1 (SP1), plan for an additional 30-45 minutes per workstation that uses Word Merge. Once the upgrade is complete, check for any latest patch updates at www.ebixsupport.com before using ebix.one 9.06.00. If you have any questions or problems during the upgrade, please contact the ebix.one support department at www.ebixsupport.com or 1-888-633-5744.
